DISCIPLESHIP ACADEMY

Discipleship

Get connected with discipleship (because you weren't meant to do life alone). If you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, you need to have intentional relationships with people who have the same goal, and discipleship is the ideal place for that. Discipleship is a great way to get involved! You'll get to know other believers of like faith, grow in your knowledge and understanding of the Word of God, and build healthy relationships. You'll be encouraged to live out the truths you discover in the Bible as you encourage others to do the same. Matthew 28:19-20, known as the Great Commission, which commands believers to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you".

What is Discipleship?

Discipleship groups meet to encourage each other, study and apply God's Word, and serve together.

Why Join Discipleship?

There are both biblical and practical reasons to join Discipleship. From a Biblical perspective, both Jesus and the early church participated in small groups. Jesus gathered a group of 12 to share life together with him and to serve together. The church from its very beginning met in both temple courts and houses (Acts 5:42).

Let's face it, it can become very easy to get lost in the crowd. In addition to the great teaching and worship, when do you get an opportunity to build relationships? Where do you go where everybody knows your name? We believe those questions can be answered in Discipleship.

What Happens in Discipleship?

Our Discipleship group meetings are built around discussing a book based on the principles of discipleship. The group meeting usually includes time to socialize with others and study God's Word.
