The Bible - The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and are the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
God - There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ - Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of God, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
The Holy Spirit - The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regnerated the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
The Fall of Man - Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
Salvation - The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.
The Return of Jesus Christ - The personal, premillenial, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our hope and has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
The Church - The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head.
Baptist and Communion - Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it.
Believe it or not, God wants a relationship with you. He created you for a relationship with Him. The problem is that we can't have a relationship with Him apart from accepting His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God's son, and He became a man in order to die for the sins of the human race. He offers eternal life and the freedom from the payment of sin to all who will believe in Him. Only through Jesus can you have a relationship with God.
Realize that you are a sinner. No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners. We all fall short of God’s desire for us to be holy. The Bible says, “No one is righteous—not even one” (Romans 3:10 NLT). This is because we cannot become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ.
Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you. The Bible tells us, "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners" (Romans 5:8 NLT). This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.
Repent of your sin. The Bible tells us to "...repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away." (Acts 3:19 NLT). The word repent means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him.
Receive Jesus Christ into your life. Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church on Sunday. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, "Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in..." (Revelation 3:20 NLT). If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, tell Him that. He is listening. The sample prayer below may give you some guidane. It' not the words that are important, it's the attitude of your heart.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner and I recognize that I need you in my life.
Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life.
Thank you for accepting me just as I am. Forgive me for my sins.
I receive you as my personal Lord and Savior and I commit to putting you first in my life.
In Jesus name, Amen
If you just prayed this prayer for the first time or for the first time in a long time, we want to welcome you to a relationship with Jesus Christ. This is not the end; this is only the beginning.
We want to help you in your next steps with God. If you would, just let us know so we can send you some materials that will be helpful to you. Email us at info@newkingdomfaith.org.
